ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this project. I think it's great that you want the students to get involved with volunteer work at such an early age.
I do have a few questions however. The time allotted for the project is 30-40 minutes a day. On Tuesday you have them researching AND creating their presentation. Do you think they will be crunched with time to complete their presentations with the 30-40 minutes? Also, on Thursday, the teacher and students will spend the day volunteering. Will they spend the entire day? Who will fund it? Parents involved? Just a few details that you could add.
Overall I really liked your project. I think the students will be engaged and love getting to actually participate in volunteer work after researching about it. Great job on the self-evaluation form as well!
